Gramercy is comprised of 55 professionals based in the U.S., Asia, Europe and Latin America. Our Portfolio Managers, who average 24 years of emerging markets investment experience, come together as an Investment Committee to share bottom-up research and top-down perspectives. They are supported by a team of ten credit analysts who average 16 years of experience. Our global footprint includes local offices and deep local relationships built upon nearly three decades of distressed EM activity. Investment professionals are backed by a team of 32 individuals dedicated to running a transparent business platform complemented by world-class independent institutional service providers.

Investor Relations

Mr. Beshlian has over 19 years of industry experience. At Gramercy, Mr. Beshlian is responsible for updating clients on their investments and responding to client inquiries. He oversees a team of investor relations professionals who maintain marketing collateral, consultant databases, standard reporting efforts and RFPs.

Prior to joining Gramercy in October of 2007, Mr. Beshlian was employed by Jennison Associates for 12 years where he was a Vice President of Client Development responsible for strengthening their client service efforts with consultants and institutional clients. Prior to that, he held positions in Jennison’s marketing and communications and operations departments. From 1994 to 1995, he worked at Pershing and from 1992 to 1994 he worked at First Chicago Trust Company of New York.

Mr. Beshlian received a MBA from Fordham University and a BS in Accounting from Villanova University.

Mr. Mahoney has over 13 years of industry experience. He is an Investor Relations specialist with a particular emphasis on quantitative analytics. Mr. Mahoney assists portfolio managers and business development professionals with data analytics and content organization to ensure external messaging is accurate, transparent and informative. Additionally, he is responsible for the organization and maintenance of the marketing data warehouse.

Prior to joining Gramercy in March 2011, Mr. Mahoney spent over eleven years at Jennison Associates, ascending through various value-added levels of client services and marketing support roles and responsibilities. Mr. Mahoney launched the Applied Research function where he performed quantitative analytical support for senior management, portfolio managers and client relationship managers. He created attribution analyses, comprehensive investment risk analyses, competitor analytics and various performance metrics. Mr. Mahoney frequently collaborated with technologists to create technology solutions for business reporting and risk management needs, and he has assisted in the launch of new investment strategies through various investment research and back-testing.

Mr. Mahoney received a BA in Economics from Boston College.

Ms. Fennelly has over 18 years of industry experience. At Gramercy, she concentrates her efforts towards ensuring more effective communications with the pension plan consultant community, direct institutional investors and other Gramercy clients. In addition to consultant communications, she is responsible for marketing collateral including marketing presentations, ad hoc requests, prospecting and completing RFPs. Ms. Fennelly is also responsible for portfolio analytics of various funds.

Prior to joining Gramercy in March 2008, Ms. Fennelly was employed by Iridian Asset Management for eight years where she was Vice President of Client Services. From 1998 to 1999 she was a Marketing Associate at JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management, from 1996 to 1998 she was a Marketing Research Analyst at Templeton Direct Advisors and from 1993 to 1996 she was a Marketing Associate at Thorsell, Parker Partners.

Ms. Fennelly received a BA in English at Manhattanville College where she graduated with honors.

Ms. Smith joined Gramercy in February 2011. At Gramercy, she is a primary contact person for current and prospective investors. Ms. Smith manages new investor onboarding and is responsible for marketing collateral including marketing presentations, due diligence questionnaires, various web-based content, ad hoc requests, prospecting, generation of the Gramercy Monthly Client Report, and the request for proposal process. Additionally, Ms. Smith works on strategic projects aimed at organizing and optimizing client materials, interfacing with service providers such as legal counsels and administrators to ensure regulatory compliance and client-facing process efficiencies, consultant information and various other improvements to client reporting and communications media.

Prior to Gramercy, Ms. Smith completed her Juris Doctor at Seton Hall School of Law. From 2006 to 2008 she was employed at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft where she fulfilled the responsibilities of senior paralegal on a team that handled complex CDO and commercial paper transactions. She also gained valuable writing, research and project management skills working with a New Jersey Superior Court Judge and a New Jersey based law firm.

Ms. Smith received a JD from Seton Hall School of Law and a BA in Political Science and Communications from Muhlenberg College.
